Paste images directly into WYSIWYG editor without manual upload
Screenshots normally require you to do a print screen command, then open your image editor, edit as needed, save the file, then upload to the server and select the image in the WYSIWYG editor that you have uploaded.

in addition to this, users should be able to recover lost images/image directories. It is really painful to accidentally delete a folder without knowing what was inside (to be able to recover). Copy pasting images directly form clipboard would be awesome.

William, thank you for your suggestion. It seems to me that SnagIt is a powerful tool, but we would like to implement support of a Free tool first, because this is more affordable for our clients. Also integration with a commercial software may be considered as "hidden fees". Do have any freeware suggestions, other than Mazio?

There are several possible solutions to this: java applet that supports copy-pasting of images, flash application with this function, or integration with a desktop application like Mazio that helps you to capture images and upload them to KB. Please tell us which idea is better for you, or add your own solution suggestion.
