Ctrl-f search
Would like to be able to use Ctrl-f search or a find replace function in articles - both in both the WYSIWYG and HTML code views.

Dee,
Firefox built-in search works in both modes. KMP search works only for rich-text mode and doesn't work for HTML code view.
If something doesn't work for you, please contact support. -

It does not search the edit mode or source code for some reason. I am using Firefox. Do you know why?

Feel free to use it. It is available in every browser. Just press Ctrl-F to see the search function.
Find and replace is also available in WYSIWYG mode as KMP tool (you can find it on the article edit toolbar), but not in the source mode as of yet.
