Allow attachments to be hyper-linked to within an Article - just like other Articles and Email links
The Editor currently allows hyper-links for Articles and email adresses. We would like Attachments to be hyperlinked within Articles, also.

Attachments for each article are stored separately. There is no "library" for attachments currently.

Is there a file "library" like the Image library? This would be useful. Haven't tried yet.

This would be really useful! And it should be to any KB attachment.... else it wouldn't be of much use....

This could also be useful for videos. Having a link to download a video below the video itself.

Great! This technique gives me the functionality I want. No need now for any product enhancement!
Many thanks for your quick response, as always. -

You can create a link to any attachment today:
1. Copy the "Download File" link (it is shown in the front-end) - in most browsers you need to right-click on a link and select something like "copy link location".
2. Insert this link to an article using standard link creation tool in WYSIWYG. -

Unfortunately I would like links to any Attachments!
For example, I have a PDF file (or files) which I want to reference from a number of different Articles.
Sorry!

Thank you for your suggestion, Robin.
Please let me know if you require ability to create links to attachments of the current article, or to any attachments in the KB (second option is much more complex)? -

This would make it easier to refer to Attachments from within an Article.
